An experienced business litigator, Julie S. Pearson is committed to resolving commercial litigation matters through detailed analysis of facts and law, a tailored approach to discovery and motion practice and consistent attention to the clients’ needs.

With multiple successful outcomes in contract, tort and real property matters through determinative rulings, settlement, trials and arbitrations, Julie’s work empowers her team to reach results which effectively meet the client’s goals in the circumstances presented.

Julie has represented clients in various industries, recently focusing automotive dealership franchisees, luxury real estate and high-wealth entrepreneurs, in both state and federal courts in California.

Her approach is to work collaboratively in complicated litigation matters, which strengthens her team’s problem solving approach, promoting positive results throughout the process.

After graduating from Southwestern School of Law, Julie worked at boutique law firms providing general civil litigation services, gaining exposure to various approaches to serving clients in resolving lawsuits.

Julie has served on the board of directors of community organizations supporting education and girls’ sports, and currently enjoys spending her free time exploring California’s natural areas and our national parks with her family.

Representative matters
  • Representing majority heirs of a U.S.-based legacy automotive portfolio in disputes with a minority shareholder, the firm is leveraging its franchise and M&A expertise to facilitate the $50M sale of the portfolio to a third-party buyer, resolving longstanding ownership and control issues.
  • Represented a family office and its portfolio company in a high-stakes private arbitration in Los Angeles. The dispute involved alleged breaches of warranty and misrepresentation regarding representations and omissions about future business opportunities and profitability in connection with the acquisition of multiple retail outlets valued at over $100 million. The arbitration included more than a week of testimony and was subsequently reviewed by a three-member arbitration panel following the initial decision
  • Negotiated resolution of vendor contract claims resulting in substantial savings to auto dealership.
  • Secured favorable resolution of minority owner claims against majority shareholders and dealership.
  • Successfully settled new vehicle dealer class action for Vehicle Code violations resulting in significantly reduced damages exposure.
